The Hope IV housing project at Mission main consisted of a team of architects working closely with a Tenant's Task Force, Authority and private developers to prepare a master plan integrating a deteriorating public housing project in the city of Boston's Mission Hill Neighborhood into the fabric of the community. The master plan calls for the clearance of the existing structures and the creation of a grid of street consistent with other city neighborhoods. The project will consist of four construction phases, including a total of 595 housing units. The ultimate objective is to create a new neighborhood of townhouses and apartments with street addresses and a variety of architectural treatments and building types.
